I can’t really explain how much I love this couple! There were so many fabulous things about their wedding. First off….we felt like a guest, they are a couple who ‘work it’ in front of our cameras, bridal party was stunning, extremely wonderful and generous families, details, details, details, awesome band and food. They had an incredible party…. intimate and more like a dinner party rather than a wedding. Lot’s of love, laughter, food, friends and drink. They also made sure their friends saw Idaho in it’s beautiful glory!
Their AH-mazing wedding came together by the wonderful wedding planner Amanda Seaward, flowers Kurt at Botanica, 2nd shooting Kristin Cheatwood, video Max Monahan, hair by Jamilynn and Jana from Vertu, caterer Cristina’s, ceremony at St. Thomas Church father Ken Brannon, reception Katy’s parents home at Adam’s Gulch, band Free Rain …and now on to the photos….

a pair of Valentino heels for her wedding day! Katy was walking elegance, couture and style all day…love!

Doug helping out his his identical twin brother Mark while getting ready at the Knob Hill Inn

love the expressions from Katy’s ladies seeing her the first time in the dress..one of the favorite moments from the day

Katy’s look was about bringing her city glamour to the mountains, a classic look with a touch of retro!! Her jewelry from the Theis Collection was mostly borrowed from her mom with no particular reason other than it looked really cool with her dress. Katy’s dress and belts were from Romona Keveza and the hair pieces were all by Renee Rivera out of San Francisco.

Oh Katy, I adore you! my favorite things about you….charisma, confidence, and laugh!

the first sight…. seeing eachother on the bridge. If you’re on the fence of….”should we or shouldn’t we see each other before the ceremony” all of my brides say it was one of their favorites and best decisions they made for their wedding day. Katy says, “I didn’t realize I had so much emotions bottled up and it was nice to be able to have that moment before everything got rolling”

GORGEOUS bridesmaids!

“hey guys” looking sharp!

the ladies ‘loving on’ Doug!

…an incredibly emotional moment right before walking down the aisle with her father

YAY! another favorite

they drove off in a classic Willys

time for another round of photos….this time it was like shooting for Vogue (;

we stopped by the Pioneer Saloon for a margarita before heading to the reception

cocktails, couples, and some details

Ha! This was an awesome and a HUGE surprise for Doug! He thought Idaho was shaped like a foam finger, and thought it would be cool to send as ‘save the dates’ instead of traditional paper. So miss Katy had foam Idaho hands made that she kept a secret from him…it actually brought tears to his eyes!

First dance

“Oh My Deer”

They cut their wedding cake with Katy’s grandfather’s naval academy dress sword. Her parents cut their wedding cake with it too!
